RH2 The Journey RH2 Season 5 first hour
Join the group, claim codes, lock one role, then train Plaza before Park.
RH2 The Journey drops you into a full MyPLAYER creator the first time you join. That is the moment most new accounts waste. Season 5 launched on 21 August 2026 with a deeper creator, more than 1,300 build names, and a live online loop through Plaza, Park, Rec, Arcade, and MyCourt. BAX Studio still stamps the experience BETA. The courts are already running. Your job in hour one is not to invent a superstar. It is to pick one role, cash the free codes, and learn the green window in Plaza before anyone on Park contests you.
This page is the onboarding loop. When you need inputs, jump to Controls. When bricks start, open Shooting. When you get stripped at half court, open Dribbling. When you are ready to queue with other people, read Park and Rec. The rest of the Guides Hub sits behind those four.
Join, favorite, then claim Season 5 codes
Codes will not redeem until you join the BAX Studio group and favorite RH2 The Journey on Roblox. Relog after both steps so the Enter Code box on the main menu actually unlocks. The current Season 5 strings include prefixes such as welcometoseason5_* and thankyoufors5_*. Paste them from the codes list rather than from a screenshot in chat. If the box is missing, follow how to redeem. Skip anything on the expired list.
Those rewards are starter fuel: currency, XP, or cosmetics depending on the string. They are not a reason to skip Plaza. Claim them, then go train.
Build creator without dumping Reset Tokens
The first join opens appearance, position, height, weight, and dominant hand. Season 5 adds wingspan, body type, upbringing, and body frames. Community names you will hear in lobbies are Anchor, Powerhouse, Ronnie, slim, and lean. Lean shows up in Season 5 point-guard videos as a small green-window bump, roughly two percent in those clips. Treat that as a timing tweak, not a free win.
Positions are PG, SG, SF, PF, and C. Pick one and stay there for the first reset cycle. Five attribute pillars sit under the body: Finishing, Shooting, Playmaking, Defense (Season 5’s overview also calls out rebounding), and Physicals for speed, acceleration, stamina, strength, and vertical. Recommended templates exist because Custom lets you smear points across every bar until the build is a 78 everywhere and a star at nothing.
Copy a tested template from the builds tier list instead of freestyling the first character. Read the matching role on players, then guards or bigs so the attributes you stack match the minutes you will actually play. The attribute planner is the off-court version of the same sliders. Do not spend Reset Tokens until you have greened in Plaza on that template and you understand why a badge such as Quick Draw or Range Extender is on the card. The Season 5 notes also matter here: the free-throw glitch is patched, so do not plan a career around it.
Plaza first, Park second, Rec when you have a role
Main-menu tiles are not flavor. PLAZA is the hub plus training and a reliable XP loop. MYCOURT is private work on your jumper. PARK is casual 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3. REC and Pro Am are structured team queues. ARCADE is daily rewards and the wheel. Journey Pass progress is faster if Plaza is a daily stop, not a loading screen you skip.
Stay in Plaza until you can hit open mids and a few catch-and-shoot threes without panic. Then add a short dribble bag from the dribbling guide so you can create one step of space. Only after that should you queue Park. Rec and Pro Am wait until you can pass on time as a guard or rebound and finish inside as a big. Takeover and Team Boost do not hide a broken first step.
Pick one role for the first week. A point guard who also wants to be the rim runner and the corner sniper will look busy and lose. If you are a guard, your first Park job is live dribble, live pass, live shot. If you are a big, your first Park job is screen, rebound, and dunks you can actually finish. The Park and Rec page spells out spacing so you do not iso every possession as a center.
A first-night checklist that actually fits Season 5
- Join BAX Studio, favorite the game, relog, redeem every live string on the codes list.
- Pick one position and a Recommended template aligned with the builds list. Leave Custom for a later reset.
- Set body frame and wingspan with a plan, not a random slider. Lean is a shooting nudge; Anchor and Powerhouse change how you occupy the paint.
- Open Plaza. Practice the hold-and-release shot from Shooting until greens are boring.
- Add two D-pad moves from Dribbling (crossover plus one escape), not the full bag.
- Queue Park only when you can hit open looks. Read Park and Rec for spacing before Rec.
- Bookmark badges and Takeovers so the next attribute dump has a target.
- Ignore executor shortcuts on night one. If you chase that later, it lives on the scripts hub, not in this onboarding loop.
You will see ping and pain values on the HUD. They shrink the green window. Plaza is where you learn your release with the connection you actually have, not the connection a montage assumes. Do not spam. Take the open shot. That sentence is the whole beginner shooting course.
When the first build feels wrong, do not rage-reset. Write down which pillar failed: finishing at the rim, the jumper, the handle, or the body. Then spend one Reset Token on a template that solves that pillar. The accounts that stall in Season 5 are the ones that roll a new 6’4 combo guard every night and never learn a single jumpshot. Hour one is supposed to be boring on purpose. Greens in Plaza now beat clips you cannot repeat on Park later.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for codes, builds, shooting, and Park play.
What should I do first after joining RH2 The Journey?
Join the BAX Studio group, favorite the game, redeem Season 5 codes, then make one focused build and train in Plaza before Park.
When should I spend Reset Tokens?
After you understand the creator and have greened on a template. Read Getting Started against the builds list so the token fixes a real gap.
Recommended builds or Custom?
Recommended for the first character. Custom waits until you know which of the five pillars actually needs points. The attribute planner helps before you commit.
Is Plaza required, or can I go straight to Park?
Park is online and available, but Plaza is where you learn release timing without a contest. Go to Park after open shots drop; then read Park and Rec.
Which position should a complete beginner pick?
Does Season 5 still have the free-throw glitch?
No. It was patched in Season 5. Build around badges, timing, and the Season 5 notes, not patched exploits.
