RH2 The Journey Wings, fours, and paint bigs
ISO small forwards, 3-level power forwards, and Paint Beast centers.
This page is SF, PF, and C. Small forward is filed here on purpose: in Season 5 of RH2 The Journey the ISO SF / Slashing Shooter is a wing/big hybrid, not a third shooting guard. You will still shoot like a wing. You will also switch onto fours, bump cutters, and, in Rec, play as the smallest big. Guards stay on the guards page. The five-position pitch sits on the positions hub.
Season 5’s creator treats these rows the same as everyone else — appearance, custom pies, Finishing / Shooting / Playmaking / Defense / Physicals plus rebounding talk in official videos, then wingspan, weight, height, body type, upbringing, and frame. Physicals and finishing matter more than they do on a Playmaking Shot Creator. That does not mean you skip shooting. The tier list already parks a no-shoot Park center in B. Your job is to decide whether you are that Rec wall or a 3-level body that can live in 3s.
Small forward — the ISO hybrid
ISO SF is the “one build for every queue” people keep asking for. Two-way wing, strength plus athleticism, enough handle to cook a slow PF, enough three to keep the Paint Beast from camping. Community clips (including ISO small-forward Season 5 videos) stress that you can actually iso — which means you owe yourself the dribbling guide, not just a high driving dunk.
What to fund:
- Shooting high enough for Range Extender to matter. Fearless Shooter if you let it fly on late closeouts.
- Strength and acceleration so the mismatch is real.
- Steal and perimeter so you are not a cone when the other team’s Playmaking Shot Creator gets the switch.
- Finishing silver: Contact, Giant Slayer, Relentless, Consistent Finisher. Same greed as the 2-Way Sharpshooter — do not HOF finishing at the cost of Quick Draw.
Takeovers: Lone Ranger if you create; Run as One if you kick to a sharp SG; Matador only if your perimeter numbers are real. Frames: Powerhouse shows up on contact wings. Anchor is a handler frame more than a wing frame; read the block-attempt drawback before you copy a PG screenshot.
Beginners who bounced off PG should consider this row after a balanced SG, not before. You still need a jumper. Learn it in Plaza with the shooting guide. Then take the ISO into Park and Rec and see whether you actually call for the ball.
Power forward and center
PF 2-Way 3-Level Scorer is the stretch four. Park 3s: you need a catch-and-shoot three or you are the spacing tax. Rec 5s: you can live on mids if your PG is a Playmaking Shot Creator who finds you. Put enough perimeter and steal to survive a switch. A PF who only rebounds is a center with worse rim protection — make the Paint Beast instead.
C Paint Beast is interior finishing, rebound, rim protection. Rec loves it. RHC loves it. Park 3s loves it only when both teammates shoot. Deep Fades turns a block dump into a mid fade; fund it if you post, skip it if you never get the ball on the block. Stamina and strength are the real badges here. A tired Paint Beast is a screen that forgot how to jump.
Pure interior, no-shoot C remains a B-tier Park body. Keep it as a second character for Rec nights, not as your only login. If you solo 3s, make the 3-level four or the ISO SF. That is the whole argument, and it is why this page will not pretend a 40 three is “fine in Park.”
Height: go up until your feet die. If you cannot rotate to a corner in time, you are too slow for that queue, not “more interior.” Wingspan on bigs is usually worth the speed tax because contest and rebound pay the bill. Confirm the trade in the attribute planner instead of maxing every slider and wondering why you cannot catch a drop step.
Badge reminder for paint: finishing can go higher than it does on guards. Shooting still needs a floor if you ever float to the elbow. Playmaking on a C is passing out of doubles, not Quick Chain combos. Full HOF order lives on the badge ranks. Takeovers that never fill because you do not get the ball are a rebuild — see takeover ranks.
Copy numbers from the build templates, not from a random 99 OVR guard clip. A Juicy John-style 6’6” 180 two-way PG is not a center. Season 5 is live as of 21 August 2026, still BETA, still online only. Spend a Reset Token when a hotfix changes boxing-out or Deep Fades, not when a Weekend offers a new hair. New accounts should still run getting started and make a shooter first if they have never boxed out in this game. Rec rim comes second. Park spacing comes first.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for codes, builds, shooting, and Park play.
Why is small forward on the bigs page?
Because the ISO SF is a wing/big hybrid in Season 5: it switches onto fours and can play Rec as the small big. Guard-only templates stay on guards.
Paint Beast or stretch four for Park 3s?
Stretch four, unless both teammates already shoot. Paint Beast is Rec and RHC first. Letter grades are on the tier list hub.
Do bigs need HOF Quick Draw?
ISO SF and 3-level PF: yes if they shoot for a living. Paint Beast: gold or less is fine if Deep Fades and interior finishing are the identity. See badge ranks.
What takeover should a Rec center run?
Whatever fills when you protect the rim and finish contact, plus a team boost. Do not copy Lone Ranger from a PG video. Pairings are on takeover ranks.
How tall should a first power forward be?
Tall enough to contest, short enough to rotate. If speed falls off, shrink before you add more interior. Test sliders in the attribute planner.
