RH2 The Journey RH2 Season 5 Launch Notes

New creator, Park, Plaza, and Arcade after the August 21, 2026 waiting-room drop.

Season 5

Season 5 of RH2 The Journey is live. BAX Studio opened the waiting room on the Roblox place, then flipped the servers Friday, August 21, 2026 at 5:00 PM EST. The game itself has been public since March 21, 2021. This season is a rebuild of a BETA that players already grind, not a closed beta signup.

What shipped is bigger than a coat of paint. The build creator is new. Park is new. Plaza was updated. Arcade is back in the menu. Appearance options expanded (skin tones, faces, eyes, hair, voice tones). Attribute names jumped from about 250 unique labels to more than 1,300, which is why a 7-foot shooting Center and a fast Power Forward can now share a locker room without looking like reskins of the same template.

Read this page before you dump Reset Tokens. Pair it with the attribute planner, the best builds list, and the codes hub. If you have not played since Season 4, start from the getting started guide instead of importing last year’s height and hoping HOF Quick Draw still unlocks.

Launch window, waiting room, and BETA stamp

Rel posted the clock on @BaxRel: Friday, August 21, 2026, 5:00 PM EST. Convert that to your local zone before you complain about a late drop. The waiting room sat on the live experience at RH2 The Journey. Players who joined early could finish listed tasks and bank pre-launch rewards while the servers switched.

Waiting-room rewards are not a substitute for the BAX Studio group. Codes still require that group join plus a favorite on the game page. After the flip, Plaza, Park, Rec, and Arcade are online. There is no split-screen on the couch. Queue with other Roblox accounts, including friends who join your party from another device.

The Roblox title still says BETA and unfinished. Treat that as a warning about hotfixes, not as a reason to sit out. Season 5 already patched a free-throw timing glitch. Takeover Weekends continue the old preview culture: extra rules for a weekend, then a quieter weekday PATCH. When the place name reads DOWN FOR MAINTENANCE, leave the match if you can so a mid-game save does not vanish. The Updates Hub tracks that loop.

The new build creator

The official-style overview (and the video on this page) walks the new flow in order.

Appearance first. Season 5 added more skin tones, faces, eyes, hair, and voice tones. These do not raise three-point rating. They do stop every Park lobby from looking like five copies of the same head.

Recommended builds versus Customize. Recommended is a pre-tuned starter so you can reach Plaza without staring at empty bars. Customize is the real season. If you already know you want to iso, space, lock, finish, or rebound, skip Recommended and write the role down on the attribute planner before a single point is spent.

Five categories. You allocate Finishing, Shooting, Playmaking, Defense and rebounding, and Physicals. Each category splits further. Height still trades speed and contest. Weight still trades strength and acceleration. The new levers are wingspan and body type. Longer arms help contests, rebounds, and some steal angles; they tax shooting windows and tight handle. Shorter arms help the green window and combo timing; they give up reach on closeouts.

Wingspans, frames, and names. Community Season 5 clips keep repeating the same frame notes: a lean frame can add about +2% to the green window, while Anchor helps interior contest but can add a block-attempt drawback if you mash contests. Powerhouse is the bulky middle for strength-first bigs. None of those passives replace attributes. They tilt the same bars you already spent.

Unique build names jumped from roughly 250 to 1,300-plus. That is why the creator will spit labels you have never seen. Do not chase a name. Chase thresholds for HOF Quick Draw, Range Extender, and Fearless Shooter on a shooter, or interior contest and rebound on a big. Confirm those caps on the badge tier list and the takeover list.

Guards and bigs no longer share one body. A Point Guard can stay compact and fast. A Center can stand 7 feet and still shoot if you pay for it. A Power Forward can be built to run. Read guard roles and big roles before you max height for clout.

Park, Plaza, Arcade, and the first session

Season 5 did not only touch the creator.

  • Plaza is still the social hub and the place you should green shots before you queue. Check the HUD, the Twitter Codes box, and the training spots. Jump timing notes live on the shooting guide and the tools hub.
  • Park was rebuilt as the outdoor online runs. Party with a defined role, not five slashers. Court etiquette and mode choice sit on the Park and Rec guide.
  • Rec remains the longer online five-on-five. Stamina in Physicals matters here more than it does in a two-minute Park game.
  • Arcade is back on the menu for quicker modes and event-style games during Takeover Weekends.

Input still depends on device. Keyboard, controller, and mobile layouts are on the controls page. Combos and signature packages belong on the dribbling guide. Scripts that claim to auto-green are a separate risk conversation on the scripts hub — they are not a Season 5 feature.

Welcome codes and Reset Tokens

Launch week paid four strings:

CodeReward
welcometoseason5_RHC10k RHC
welcometoseason5_RT3 Reset Tokens
thankyoufors5_RHC5k RHC
thankyoufors5_RT2 Reset Tokens

Join the BAX Studio group, favorite the game, relog, then paste each string in the main-menu box. The how to redeem page covers a missing box. Do not type strings from the expired list. Extra tokens should sit in inventory until the attribute planner says the slot is worth a reroll.

Official chatter still funnels through @BaxRel and discord.gg/rh2. Store those URLs on the links hub instead of in a screenshot folder you will lose.

The first honest session after this season is Plaza, not Park. Green a handful of jumpers, confirm your wingspan did not wreck ball handle, then spend welcome Reset Tokens only if the slot still matches the role you wrote down.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for codes, builds, shooting, and Park play.

When did Season 5 launch?

Friday, August 21, 2026 at 5:00 PM EST after a waiting room on the live Roblox place. The base game has been out since March 21, 2021.

What is new in the Season 5 build creator?

Recommended versus Customize, five attribute categories, wingspans, body types, frames, more appearance options, and 1,300-plus unique build names. Walk it with the attribute planner.

Was the free-throw glitch fixed?

Yes. A post-launch patch corrected free-throw timing. Retest in Plaza after any title that says PATCH.

Which Season 5 codes should I redeem first?

The welcome and thank-you strings for RHC and Reset Tokens. Full steps are on active codes and how to redeem.

Can I make a 7-foot shooting Center now?

Yes. The new height, wingspan, and name pool allow shooting Centers and fast Power Forwards. Pay for Shooting if that is the job; do not assume the name alone greens.

Where do I follow Takeover Weekends?

Watch [@BaxRel](https://x.com/BaxRel) and the Discord at [discord.gg/rh2](https://discord.gg/rh2). This page and the Updates Hub collect the dates when they are posted.
