Build creator, shooting, dribbling, and Park Rec tutorials for the live BETA.

RH2 The Journey is a live 2K-style MyPLAYER basketball game on Roblox from BAX Studio. Season 5 went live on 21 August 2026. The studio still labels the experience BETA, yet Plaza, Park, Rec, Arcade, and MyCourt already run online matches. This Guides Hub is the index for every tutorial on the wiki: first spawn, the new creator, inputs, green windows, dribble packages, and the difference between pickup Park and structured Rec.

If you just joined, follow the pages in order. If you already have a Season 5 build, jump to the mechanic that is actually costing you games.

How to use these tutorials

Open Getting Started before you spend Reset Tokens. That walkthrough covers joining the BAX Studio group, favoriting the experience so codes redeem, and why Plaza reps beat a rushed Park queue. Keep Controls nearby if you swap between keyboard and controller.

After the first build, the mechanic pages split the skill gap: Shooting for meter timing and jumpshot IDs, Dribbling for D-pad combos and signature packages, and Park and Rec for spacing, shot clock, and team roles. Bank currency in Arcade and RHC before you buy attributes, then follow the overall grind if you are chasing 99. Each page links the others so you are not bouncing back here for every click.

Pair any tutorial with a tested template on the builds tier list and a position write-up on players. The attribute planner is the spreadsheet view of the same choices the creator shows in-game.

First hour after you spawn

The character creator is the first screen. Season 5 added wingspan, body type, upbringing, and body frames the community calls Anchor, Powerhouse, Ronnie, slim, and lean. You still set appearance, position (PG, SG, SF, PF, or C), height, weight, and dominant hand. Attributes sit in five pillars: Finishing, Shooting, Playmaking, Defense (Season 5’s overview also calls out rebounding), and Physicals for speed, acceleration, stamina, strength, and vertical.

Recommended builds exist because the list now tops 1,300 names. Custom is there if you already know the archetype. The lean frame shows up in Season 5 point-guard videos as a small green-window bump, which is why shooting advice treats body frame as timing, not only cosmetics.

Do not skip Plaza. It is the social hub, the training court, and a steady XP loop. MyCourt is private work. Arcade holds daily rewards and the wheel. Park is casual 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3. Rec and Pro Am are the structured team queues. That menu split is why this wiki keeps separate tutorials instead of one mega-page.

Redeem Season 5 strings such as welcometoseason5_* and thankyoufors5_* from the codes list. Use the how to redeem steps if the Enter Code box is missing, and ignore anything on the expired codes page.

Mechanic pages worth finishing

Controls records WASD movement, Shift sprint, hold-and-release shooting, and the controller habit of parking dribbles on the D-pad so the right stick stays camera. Ping on the HUD changes the green window; Plaza is where you feel that before Park punishes it.

Shooting is meter on versus meter off, community jumpshots still cited from Season 3 (JS 14 for PG, JS 13 for SG, JS 15 for SF and PF), and badges such as Quick Draw, Range Extender, Fearless Shooter, and Deep Fades. Dribbling is the combo sheet: crossover, hesi, spin, behind the back, between the legs, plus styles like Elite One, Explosive behind the back, Swiper between legs, Charlotte Web crossover, and NS step back. Ball handle around 85 is the community threshold many combo tutorials assume.

Practice those packages in Plaza. A Takeover or Team Boost in live Rec does not fix a broken release.

Match types, then the rest of the wiki

Park and Rec is the online-play tutorial: pickup spacing, Rec role discipline, Pro Am party queues, and why a center who isos every possession loses 3v3s. Cross-check guards or bigs so your attributes match the minutes you actually play.

Read the Season 5 update before you copy an old YouTube build. The free-throw glitch is patched. Wingspan and body frames now change contests and green windows. Confirm badges and Takeovers still match what you equipped. Journey Pass progress is faster when Plaza training is a daily habit, not only Park grinding. Arcade’s wheel is extra, not a substitute for reps.

Executor talk lives on the scripts hub, including auto green and executor setup. The pages in this hub assume you time the shot yourself.

If you only open one link after this index, make it Getting Started and stay in Plaza until your open mids start dropping. Park is always queued; a wasted first Reset Token is not.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for codes, builds, shooting, and Park play.

Where should a new Season 5 player start?

Follow Getting Started, redeem active codes, copy one Season 5 build, then green shots in Plaza before you queue Park.

Is RH2 The Journey still BETA?

Yes. BAX Studio still labels the experience unfinished even after Season 5 launched on 21 August 2026. Online Plaza, Park, Rec, Arcade, and MyCourt are already live.

Should I pick Recommended or Custom in the creator?

Use Recommended until you understand the five attribute pillars. Switch to Custom only after you read Getting Started and a matching template on the builds list.

Which guide should I read before Park?

Lock Controls and Shooting in Plaza, add a short dribble bag, then read Park and Rec for spacing and roles.

Do I need codes before Plaza training?

Codes are optional XP and currency, not a gate. Join the BAX Studio group, favorite the game, then redeem strings from the codes list so you are not leaving free rewards on the table.
