RH2 The Journey 60 to 99 OVR in Season 5

Plaza XP, Park Rec, Arcade time, and Journey Pass without dumping Reset Tokens.

Overall Grind

RH2 The Journey overall is not a hidden rank you luck into. It is XP plus RHC spent on attribute points across Finishing, Shooting, Playmaking, Defense, and Physicals. Season 5 launched on 21 August 2026. BAX Studio still stamps the Roblox place BETA. The grind is live anyway: Plaza training XP, Park and Rec games, Arcade time, and the Journey Pass. New accounts start near 60 OVR. Community clips already show 99 OVR two-way 3-level scoring PGs with HOF Quick Draw, gold Range Extender, and a 6’6 180 frame. That card is a destination, not a first-night spend.

If you have not locked a role, stop here and finish Getting Started. Copy a template from the builds list and check the pie on the attribute planner before you buy another point. The rest of the Guides Hub is skill work. This page is how the number on the card actually moves.

How overall actually goes up

Every Rec box score, Plaza drill, and Arcade minute feeds two wallets. XP raises overall as you bank attribute points. RHC buys more of those points when the natural drop is too slow. Codes dump RHC so you skip the slowest slice of that buy. They do not skip Plaza. Redeem the live Season 5 strings on the codes list after you join the BAX Studio group. If the box is missing, use how to redeem. Ignore anything on the expired list.

Spend those points on one role. A 78 everywhere is a 78 Park liability. Guards push Shooting and Playmaking toward HOF Quick Draw first, then gold Range Extender if the three is the job. Bigs push Finishing, Defense, and Physicals so screens and boards actually pay XP. Match the minutes to guards or bigs on the players hub. Badge thresholds live on the badge ranks. Takeover picks live on the takeover ranks. The tier list is the letter grades if you only want the headline.

Climb in bands, not in random sliders. From 60 to the mid-70s, buy the attributes that let you finish a Rec game without dying on stamina or bricking every catch. From the mid-70s to the mid-80s, push the badge thresholds that match the role: Quick Draw on a shooter, interior contest on a big. From the high 80s to 99, you are buying leftover Physicals, the last steal or rebound points, and the gold-to-HOF gaps. That last stretch is why Rec box scores beat Park 1v1 highlight hunts. Do not dump Reset Tokens to chase a 99 OVR montage. A Reset Token rewinds a bad creator session. It does not print XP. Hold them until Plaza proves the jumper and a Rec quarter proves stamina. Season 5 notes already patched the free-throw glitch. Rebuilds after a hotfix belong on the Updates Hub, not on a whim.

A Season 5 session that actually pays XP

Start in Plaza. Training is the honest loop: mids, catch-and-shoot threes, and a short dribble bag you can repeat. Plaza also pays XP even when nobody is contesting you, which is why it beats a Park 1v1 you lose in forty seconds. Time the hold-and-release from Shooting and park two D-pad escapes from Dribbling. Controls still matter because ping on the HUD shrinks the window you think you greened yesterday.

Queue Rec when you can live in one job for a full game. Rec is the fastest overall method most grinders still cite. Fill the stat line instead of hunting thirty points. Community clips aim near 10 to 16 points, then dump the rest into assists, rebounds, steals, and blocks. Lobs pay extra if you have a big who can finish. Last-shot makes can tick Takeover XP. Two-player Rec is cleaner than five randoms who all want the ball. Spacing and roles sit on Park and Rec. Park 3s are shorter reps and decent RHC; they are not the main 60-to-99 engine. Quitting a Rec you started losing also quits the Journey Pass tick. Finish the game.

Arcade is currency time. Sit in Arcade for the idle drip (community Season 3 clips still cite about 10 RHC per 250 seconds), spin the daily wheel, and play Arcade 1v1s when you want RHC without a Rec shot clock. Plaza 1v1s pay too, just less. The dedicated loop is on Arcade and RHC. Spend that cash on attribute points, not Plaza drip. Journey Pass tracks run in the background: claim the 2x XP tokens (community counts four tokens at five games each), knock the gold-mark missions such as steal totals, and keep Rec games complete. Takeover Weekend is when extra multipliers show up; treat those hours like Rec, not AFK.

The 99 OVR target the community still clips is a two-way 3-level scoring PG: HOF Quick Draw, gold Range Extender, 6’6 180. That is a late-account body. Grow into it from the 80s shooting / 90s handle shape on the builds list. If you are a center, ignore the PG montage and finish the Paint Beast path on bigs.

Spend RHC, bank Reset Tokens, skip fake shortcuts

RHC from codes, Rec, Park, and Arcade should hit the same five pillars you planned. Buy the next badge threshold, not a random dunk package. Keep at least two Reset Tokens until the attribute planner says a HOF badge missed or stamina dies in a Rec quarter. Cosmetics wait. The tools hub is the worksheet view if you want the planner next to a jump-meter page.

Executor talk is not a grind. Auto green and executor setup live on the scripts hub as risk pages, not as XP methods. Accounts that bank 10,000 RHC from welcometoseason5_RHC and then install a script are gambling the same overall they just bought. Time the shot. Official drop channels sit on the links hub. Bookmark this overall grind, keep Plaza as a daily stop, and let Rec fill the box score. 99 OVR is a long Rec week, not a Park 1v1 night.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for codes, builds, shooting, and Park play.

What is the fastest way to 99 OVR in RH2 The Journey?

Fill Rec stat lines (about 10–16 points plus assists, boards, and steals), train Plaza daily, spend RHC from codes and Arcade on one role, and burn Journey Pass 2x XP tokens on complete games.

Should I grind Plaza or go straight to Rec?

Plaza first so the jumper and stamina survive contact. Rec is the main XP engine after that. Park 1v1s are poor overall. Read Park and Rec before you queue fives.

Do codes raise overall?

Indirectly. Live Season 5 strings pay RHC (and Reset Tokens). Spend the RHC on attribute points, not cosmetics. Redeem from the codes list with the redeem steps.

When should I spend Reset Tokens on the overall grind?

Almost never for XP. Tokens rewind a bad creator session after Plaza and a Rec quarter prove the slot. Plan the rebuild on the attribute planner first.

What 99 OVR build do community clips show?

A two-way 3-level scoring PG with HOF Quick Draw, gold Range Extender, and a 6'6 180 frame. Treat it as a late target and copy the shape from the builds list, not as a day-one spend.

Does Arcade give overall XP or only RHC?

Arcade is mainly RHC, the daily wheel, and idle time. Rec and Plaza training move overall faster. Use Arcade cash to buy the next attribute threshold on the attribute planner.
