RH2 The Journey RH2 Takeover Weekend playbook
Live event windows around season drops: Rel clocks, codes, Plaza prep, Takeovers, and Team Boost.
A Takeover Weekend is a live BAX Studio event, not a calendar we invent. Rel (@BaxRel) posts the clock when one is on. The Discord at discord.gg/rh2 is where “servers are up,” promo strings, and last-minute PATCH titles land first. RH2 The Journey is already playable. Season 5 launched Friday, August 21, 2026 at 5:00 PM EST after a waiting room on the live Roblox place. The experience still reads BETA and unfinished. Park, Rec, and Plaza stay online. There is no local split-screen.
This page is the event playbook: how to hear Rel, how to prep a slot, and what Lone Ranger, Run as One, Matador, and Team Boost actually do once the meter fills. We will not invent a Saturday hour Rel never posted. When he publishes a new clock, it belongs on the Updates Hub and, if the creator or Park changed, on the Season 5 notes.
What a Takeover Weekend actually is
BAX Studio has used Takeover Weekends as preview windows around season drops. Season 3 already paired a waiting room with a Takeover Weekend preview — free RHC, trails, and gems were the usual bait. Season 5 used the same waiting-room habit, then flipped servers at the published 5:00 PM EST mark. Community streams labeled Takeover Weekend showed the rebuilt creator and the new Park before weekday queues settled. That is the pattern: extra attention, extra rules, extra codes for a few days, then a quieter PATCH.
A waiting room is not the Weekend itself. A waiting room is the same Roblox place in a pre-launch or pre-patch state with listed tasks. Join early, bank the listed gifts, then wait for Rel’s flip. Weekend play happens after the flip, in real Park and Rec queues and, when Arcade is on the menu, in shorter event games. The getting started guide still matters if you have not joined the BAX Studio group or favorited the experience.
Codes often drop with these events. Season 5 opened with welcome and thank-you strings for RHC and Reset Tokens. Paste them from the active codes list using the redeem walkthrough. Skip anything on the expired codes list. Group join plus a favorite on the game page are still required. Waiting-room gifts do not replace that.
When the Roblox title switches to PATCH or DOWN FOR MAINTENANCE, leave the match if you can. Progress can fail to save during a flip. Recheck jump timing in Plaza after every maintenance. Keyboard and controller maps stay on the controls page. Official destinations live on the links hub so you are not copying invite URLs from Park chat.
Follow Rel, not a rumor screenshot. If a Discord ping or Park lobby claims a Takeover Weekend starts “tonight at 8” and @BaxRel is silent, treat it as unverified. This wiki only dates what Rel has posted. Bookmark the Discord and the X account before you sit in a waiting room, not after the servers already flipped.
In-game Takeovers, Team Boost, and the preview
Takeover Weekends share a name with the in-game Takeover meter, and both matter that weekend. The three names that show up on serious Season 5 templates are Lone Ranger, Run as One, and Matador. Rankings and pairings sit on the takeover list. Do not rebuild an entire pie because a streamer flashed a fourth name unless the Season 5 notes say the mechanic is staying.
Lone Ranger is the iso and create Takeover. Playmaking Point Guards take it so high handle actually cooks a switch. It is a dead meter if you never call for the ball. Practice the bag on the dribbling guide first.
Run as One is the team-shaped Takeover. Rec 5s and RHC should treat it as mandatory on the primary handler. Park 3s can still take it because a filled meter that buffs a cutter is free offense you did not have to iso for.
Matador is the stopper. Two-way Sharpshooters and dedicated locks take it so the best opposing ball handler has a worse night. Paint Beast centers who live in the restricted area should not copy a Matador screenshot from a guard video just because the name is loud.
Team Boost fires when the meter fills. Glance at the court before you hunt your own animation. A filled Lone Ranger that also juiced a corner shooter is a Rec possession. A wasted pull-up with four teammates watching is a clip for the other team. Role pages for guards and bigs say who should even have the ball when it pops. Confirm the template on the best builds page and the badge list so Hall of Fame thresholds still match.
Events preview the creator and Park. Use the Weekend to test a pairing you never trigger in casual Park. Event queues are sweatier than Monday Plaza, which is the point: you will see whether Matador actually triggers against people who can dribble. When the Weekend ends, keep the pairing that filled in real games, not the pairing that looked rare in the menu.
Plaza is still the honest first session. Green a handful of jumpers from the shooting guide before you queue. The Guides Hub and the players hub exist so you pick a role instead of five slashers walking into the same court. Plan points on the attribute planner and skim the tools hub if a patch moved a HUD value.
Prep before you sit in a waiting room
Do this once. After that you only watch Rel’s clock.
- Join the BAX Studio group on Roblox and favorite RH2 The Journey. Codes will not redeem without both.
- Bookmark @BaxRel, discord.gg/rh2, and the official links page.
- Claim whatever is live on the codes hub. Extra Reset Tokens sit in inventory until the planner says the slot is worth a reroll.
- Warm the jumper and a short dribble bag in Plaza. Input notes are on the controls page.
- Party with a defined role before Park or Rec. Those queues are online only. If a teammate is offline, you still match other Roblox accounts.
- Do not treat auto-green scripts as a Weekend feature. If you insist on third-party tools, read executor setup as a risk note, not as a BAX Studio tutorial. The scripts hub is not a Takeover.
The video on this page is a Season 5 Takeover Weekend stream, not a patch blog. Use it to see the creator and Park energy, then come back to this checklist. The tier list hub still decides what you lock after the Weekend, not a one-night rule set Rel has not confirmed.
New players start with the getting started loop, then Plaza, then one Park run with a role. Returning Season 4 accounts reread the Season 5 notes before dumping tokens on a pie that no longer hits badge caps. Everyone else waits for Rel, keeps Discord open, and does not invent a date. That is the whole Takeover Weekend habit: hear the clock, claim the codes, green in Plaza, then queue Park or Rec with a Takeover you can actually fill.
Frequently Asked Questions

When is the next Takeover Weekend?
When Rel posts it. Follow [@BaxRel](https://x.com/BaxRel) and [discord.gg/rh2](https://discord.gg/rh2). This wiki will not invent a start hour he has not published.

The three in-game Takeovers most Season 5 templates actually run. Rankings and pairings sit on the takeover list.
What is Team Boost?
